January 2017 - CQC Inspection

This report describes our judgement of the quality of care at this service.  It is based on a combination of what we have found when we inspected, information from our ongoing monotoring of data about servcies and information given to us from the provider, patients, the public and other organisations.

Email Repeat Prescriptions

Patients are now able to email their repeat prescription requests to Y00347@centrallancashire.nhs.uk

Public Health England

Public Health England have recently published "Healthier Lives" diabetes indicator data.

Electronic Prescription Service

Patients are now able to nominate a pharmacy where their repeat prescriptions can be sent electronically.  Saving you the journey to the health centre to collect the prescription.  Please speak to reception who will be more than happy to set this up for you.

Increased access over the winter period

To support the health economy over the winter period we are pleased to be able to offer additional GP appointments some of which are on Saturday & Sunday mornings.

Online Services

Patients can now view a summary of their medical record online.  This includes immunisations, allergies and medication. 

Anyone who is already using online services for booking appointments and ordering repeat medication will now be able to see a summary of their medical record the next time they sign in. 

If you are not already registered for online services and would like to be, please ask at reception for registration details.

New Computer System

As of June 2014 we have changed computer systems to Emis Web. 

Emis Patient Access

Patients can now order the own repeat prescriptions online, 24 hours a day 7 days a week.  To sign up for this service please call into the surgery to collect your registration details.  If you are already signed up to make appointments online you are now able to order your repeat prescriptions online at https://patient.emisaccess.co.uk

PLEASE NOTE IF YOU WERE SIGNED UP TO USE VISION ONLINE YOU WILL NEED NEW REGISTRATION DETAILS TO BE ABLE TO USE EMIS PATIENT ACCESS.  WHEN YOU ARE NEXT IN SURGERY PLEASE ASK AT RECEPTION FOR YOUR NEW REGISTRATION DETAILS.

New Telephone and Fax Number

As of the 19th of August we have moved over to a Chorley area code.  Our new numbers are as follows:

Please update any records you have.  We now also have a call queueing facility so at busy times you will be advised there is a queue and your position in the queue.  We hope this will alleviate any frustration as you will no longer hear an engaged tone.
